Metal Vase

Metal Vases are a fire-resistant type of gem-filled container that needs to be charged or head bashed in order to be broken open and collect the gems inside.

Gem Basket

Gem baskets are the easiest type of containers that can be broken by any of Spyro's attacks, from charging to flaming. They first appeared in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and have since then appeared throughout the series. As such, they replaced the treasure chests from Spyro the Dragon.

Treasure Chest

Treasure chests are the most common containers that hold gems in Spyro the Dragon. They can be broken by either a charge attack, flame attack or any other kind of attack Spyro has.
